There’s very little information online about Barrett Manufacturing Company, so it’s hard to depict when they first started selling drains. It was likely the early 1900s. Although not as common as other, earlier drain manufacturers, our roofing experts still come across their drains from time to time.
At one point, Barrett Manufacturing Company merged with Holt Manufacturing Company, selling products under the Barrett-Holt name.
Hy-Tech has found bits and pieces of their catalogs, mostly from 1936 and 1938, because it appears they sold primarily through other companies like Blake and Sweet's with multiple manufacturers. Sweet's was the Sears and Roebuck of the commercial industry.
