The fight to end cancer is a personal one for me. This June 30 will mark 5 years since my son, Wyatt, and I lost my wife, Debbie, to ovarian cancer. Losing a loved one to cancer is something no one should have to experience, and yet thousands are dealing with it every single day.
Please consider donating this month to my good friend, Brooks Ames', fundraising page for the American Cancer Society's Cattle Barons Ball. Brooks and his wife, Janey, are attempting to raise $10,000 by the end of this month. If they reach this goal, Brooks and his son have promised to shave their heads in solidarity with those affected by cancer.
I’ve personally donated $500, and plan to donate another $2,000 when they hit the $10,000 mark. In addition, Wyatt and I have committed to also shave our heads if we can reach $10,000. As you can see, he's eager.
Research efforts can directly prolong a patient's life and, just as importantly, brings us closer to a cure. Please visit Brooks' GoFundMe page to donate and help us kick cancer's butt.
